Having qualified as a vet from Edinburgh in 1996, I spent four and a half years in a mixed practice in Cumbria before starting the Leamington Spa practice in December 2000. I’m a Centre Veterinary Surgeon for the Guide Dogs’ National Breeding Centre and have a keen interest in cardio-respiratory conditions of dogs and cats. I’m also interested in minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery and have gained the General Practitioners certificate in Endoscopy and Endosurgery. I recently earnt a further GP Certificate in Emergency Medicine and Surgery.

Following graduation from Cambridge University in 2009, I worked in mixed practice until 2013 when I joined the Leamington Spa team, having developed a bias towards small animal practice. My main interests include dentistry and diagnostic imaging; I recently developed my expertise in this area by gaining a GP certificate in Diagnostic Imaging.

I graduated in 2005 from the Royal Veterinary College and went straight into mixed practice where I remained for five years. I then spent seven years at a small animal charity where I developed an interest in surgery while undertaking an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour. Since coming to Medivet in August 2017, I have continued developing my interests further and have enjoyed learning keyhole spays. I am a cat advocate as part of the Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation scheme at Medivet Leamington Spa.

Having graduated as a vet in Liverpool University in 2004 , I spent my first 6 years in mixed practice in Yorkshire then South Worcestershire - both jobs having considerable on-call duties alongside busy daytimes. I then became a small animal day vet in Redditch for 5 years, starting the practice with ultrasonography and chemotherapy as well as honing my general surgical and medical knowledge. I became a night vet in South Wales for 5 years and have enjoyed emergency and critical care ever since. I joined Leamington Spa in the summer of 2020 as a night vet and relish a variety of cases.

I joined the Leamington Spa hospital right after being qualified as a vet from the University of Glasgow in 2020. I have since then continued developing my professional skills as a vet with the guidance of my fellow colleagues. My main interests include emergency and critical care and surgery. In the future, I am planning to expand my knowledge in emergency medicine and gain a post-graduate certificate in this field.

I qualified as a vet nurse in a mixed practice in 2005 and have been head vet nurse for the last eight years. I have a keen interest in medical nursing and emergency and critical care. I gained my Diploma in Advanced Veterinary nursing from Harper Adams University in 2018. My typical day consists of looking after the Leamington nursing team, student training and making sure the vets are supplied with nursing support and copious amounts of coffee and cake. At home I have a black labrador, a jack russell terrier and two horses.

I studied Animal Care at Moreton Morrell College and Animal Behaviour and Welfare at Plymouth University. I’ve also volunteered at the National Marine Aquarium, working with turtles, sharks and a very friendly octopus, as well as an Australian wildlife sanctuary, raising and releasing a pair of joeys. I have a keen interest in small animals and find reptiles fascinating. I’m currently studying to be a vet nurse and love working in the hospital. I have two cats at home called Ralph and Rocky who are complete opposites but very special in their own way. I am a cat advocate as part of the Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation scheme at Medivet Leamington Spa.

I originally joined the Kenilworth team as a Client Care Assistant in 2018, before transitioning to a Patient Care Assistant in December of the same year. I've now started training as a Student Veterinary Nurse at Leamington Spa. Although I don’t have any pets myself, I’ve been adopted by my next-door neighbour’s cat, Izzy.

I joined the veterinary industry in 2014 after graduating from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Zoology. I've always had a great admiration for animals and their loyalty towards their human companions. I began working as a receptionist at the Kenilworth practice, but now work a combination of reception and administration between the Kenilworth and Leamington Spa 24 Hour practices. At home I have an English Springer Spaniel called Milo, who takes his role as a springer very seriously. We enjoy running together followed by snuggles on the sofa.

I joined the veterinary sector in 2021 and although my background is hospitality, I have always wanted to work with animals. I have a rescue dog called Max who loves nothing more than cuddles and belly rubs and in our spare time we love going on long walks and playing with squeaky toys.

Patricia the vet was very kind and attentive to my cat, and carried perfect service for my cat assessment and most important my cat Mishka, who is absolutely wild as he is a former stray cat totally loved her and he behaved extremely well. We were impressed and grateful to her. I am with this practice for 14 years with my different pets in the past, and will never change to another practice. Xxx. Click to Copy

After reading reviews and speaking with someone on the phone, I drove 45 minutes for emergency care for my dog. After being told his heart rate was 200 and that he needed to go on a drip straight away, I was then refused care as I couldn’t pay £600 up front, even though I showed my insurance details so they could see it would be covered in full. My dog is now touch and go after having to find another nearby vet 20 minutes away. I’m praying he is ok, and that will be no thanks to a vet that cares more about the money than the animals. The vet in question was cold and not at all personable or caring in nature. I will be taking this further once I have dealt with whatever the outcome will be for my dog.

My cocker spaniel girl had a litter of 9 on july this year. Noticing one of them started to feel off after 6 days of life(trouble breathing) I rang Medivet, which mentioned we should come with the puppy ASAP so it won’t be too late. Rushed there with the pup just to be told they “are not fully equipped to treat such young animals”. So she just gave the pup an injection with antibiotic saying that there is not much to be done and to expect the worst to happen. We left the practice with 105£ on minus, just so the little girl to struggle and choke in her own blood until the next afternoon when we decided to put her sleep and cremate her. Why have we even been called to the practice if they already knew they are unequipped for 6 days old puppies? Of course, money matters the most. Terribly unhappy with this vet.
