Congratulations to Head Nurse Tracey Ison on the publication of her new book “For the Love of Scout, Promises to a Small Dog”
Her book focuses on the life of Scout, a Lurcher who Tracey and her partner Paul rescued at a young age. Scout had a difficult start in life and had a visual impairment that some potential rescuers found difficult to overlook. But Tracey and Paul stepped in to adopt him and soon fell in love with his unique character, his tenaciousness and lust for life.
This book documents the path that all three individuals started along from the promise of safety and security, to winning appearances at dog shows across the UK. The book also provides hands on experience of how to manage if you adopt a dog with a health issue and how these issues can be overcome to establish a strong loving bond between carer and pet.
